Mixed media work

I trained at Dartington college of arts, Devon. Here I completed a Theatre degree with dance. Though the ethos of Dartington was to allow all courses to inspire each other and access to visual performance workshops and studiotime was given, also a wide range of combined arts skills ranging from soundcsape recording to performance writing and sculpture. To the annoyance of my betters and educators I didnt focus on one skill throughout my time there.

Before this I trained with Coleg Ceredigion in Aberystwyth, in performing arts. Also The Cheshire school of Dance and Drama and most formatively with Cheshire Dance Workshop lead by pioneering open minded teachers and youth workers such as Jo Buffrey (Combined arts) and Hillary Egain (Cheshire Youth Theatre)

I was first introduced to installation art at age 13/14 and loved the idea of cross art forms straight away. Those summer schools with CDW opened my mind and helped me develop a appreciation for art that doesnt need explanations (unless you want funding). Since Uni I have gone on to work backstage with the Bristol Hippodrome, be part of some small scale projects in Bristol in Theatre and Dance and completed MA Media at Bower Ashton UWE Bristol (2014) Since moving to Cornwall I have tried to focus on developing mixed media, photography and sound work. Over the last 8 years I have worked with small and large festivals on site management. I continue to visit contemporary art galleries and indepedent arts festivals when I can.

Current focus
